On June 2, the Jaipur Runner’s – The Hero of Running event is being organized at the JCRC University. This will be the first time when the runners from Jaipur will try their hand at summer running. Mukesh Mishra, Founder Trustee of Thor-The Hero of Running and Founder Trustee of Jaipur Runners Club, said that Thor will be a challenging run and every runner who fulfils this will be honoured with the title of THOR-The Hero of Running. To inspire the runners on this challenging run, the ambassador of the race will be the Everest climber Brijmohan ‘Breeze’ Sharma, who has completed similar tough challenges. Sharma, who belongs to Rajasthan, has already conquered the highest peak in the world and he recently became the first Indian to run 350 km in Australia. Even before that, Brij Sharma has set treadmill running records in Jaipur in 2015 and 2017. Narendra Khara, Aditya Sural, Sadhana Arya of Jaipur and Mangesh Gupta of Kota will be the event ambassadors of THOR who are Ironman finishers.
Jaipur Runners Club President Sanjeev Singh announced that under the Jaipur slam there are a total of 4 events – THOR, Jaipur Glow Run, Jaipur Pink Run and Au Bank Jaipur Marathon. The runner who completes the run in the timing category in all four running events will be rewarded with the title of Jaipur Slam. THOR-The Hero of Running will be the first event in this series. Jaipur Runners Club Founder Trustee Ravi Goenka said that runners from anywhere in India can participate virtually from their city in Thor-The Hero of Running, Jaipur.
