David Francis Jr., a former professional race car driver, and Regine Sediva, a legally blind long-distance runner, were complete strangers until their passion for running brought them together.

Living the fast life on wheels, Francis turned over his helmet for a pair of running shoes after suffering a serious crash while testing a race car. Sediva, meanwhile, has had a lifelong passion for running. Both members of the Inland Empire Running Club based in Chino Hills, the duo decided to take on the Los Angeles Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon.
